Thank you for your interest in our little piece of heaven and in our effort to help those in need. Together we can make a difference.

As you can imagine we have received considerable interest since volunteering to donate one million dollars from the sale of our property to a capable Katrina relief organization.

We sincerely hope our efforts inspire others to take a similar course.

Many of us are in a better situation than was forced upon those poor people in New Orleans who lost so much to hurricane Katrina including jobs, homes and loved ones. We consider the benevolent buyer of this pristine place a partner in giving.

A partner in our faith in humanity.

Here are 42 unspoiled acres of quiet, forested land with approximately 1400 feet of Historic Brandywine River frontage situated just up the road from the historic Brandywine Battlefield. The Brandywine Museum, which is dedicated largely to the Wyeth family art, is downstream and Andrew and Betsy Wyeth's elegant stone farmhouse is right on the Brandywine several parcels down-river from us.

Located near Chadds Ford in Birmingham Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, the property is bordered by Creek Road on the east, the Brandywine River to the west, Street Road and the Radley Run on the north and simply more beautiful forest to the south.

Most favorably, a corporation or philanthropist will step forward to purchase the land - allowing us to send half of two million dollars to the Katrina relief effort we are convinced will do the most good - and has the vision of the power behind donating the land to the Brandywine Conservancy for a beautiful park or other publicly beneficial use to stand unspoiled in memory of those lost in that hurricane.

This would provide a place for all people to come and enjoy the same healing-peace we have found here. It is our desire to perserve the tranquility and historic integrity of this region while going about our business of helping those in such desperate need in the south.

We are told this will be difficult. Perhaps. But nothing is more difficult than what many have had to endure in New Orleans. We know our partner will come.
